Laura Millard: Meltwater
January 14 - February 18, 2012
Opening reception: Saturday, January 14, 1-3p.m.
In this solo exhibition of
large scale printed photographs, Laura Millard depicts a succession of
cascading moments, both landscapes of this world and worlds in
themselves. Veils of falling Meltwater from the glaciers of the
Columbia Ice Fields are transformed into abstract, glistening spaces of
lingering motion and light. Millard is an artist, writer and educator
that has exhibited in artist-run, commercial and public galleries across
Canada, and is an Associate Professor at OCAD University.
