WE ARE ALL ABOUT IDEAS
Each year, The Latcham Gallery hosts 9 exhibitions of original contemporary art, featuring work by Ontario artists. We inspire visitors to see, think and make meaningful connections. We have been bringing people together to promote diversity, creativity and imagination for over 36 years!
WHY COME TO THE LATCHAM GALLERY?
The Gallery and studio spaces are encouraging, hands-on environments that inspire students with a variety of learning styles to observe, create and explore materials and new techniques. Artist educators lead tours and workshops designed around the current exhibition, making personal connections to students and more broadly to society.
This 30 - 45 minute program is led by Gallery staff with experience and passion for educating about art. Staff will discuss materials, the artists’ inspirations and processes, themes presented, and critical thinking strategies when regarding art. The operations of a public art gallery and the people who make it work will also be highlighted. Our tours are designed to support the art curriculum at each
level (Kindergarten - grade 12).
Cost: $3/student (Minimum 15 students)
