Celebrate National Youth Week with an action-packed evening of art, prizes, and fun! Doors open at 6:30 pm.

kickstART: Live Paint Battle, hands-on art activities (buttonmaking, create a bookmark, The Wings Project), music, snacks! FREE!

LIVE PAINT BATTLE - A live painting competition for youth at Latcham Art Centre. This free, live painting event invites individual artists and/or collaborative artist teams (maximum 2 people) ages 11-18 to compete in a timed 'paint off'. Winners of each round go on to compete in the final 'paint off'. Winners are selected by the audience, and in the case of a tie, decided by an external juror. Everyone is invited to attend and cheer for their favourite artist and teams! Registration for the Live Paint Battle opens Wednesday, April 3.

To register for the Live Paint Battle, email your completed form (attached below) to or drop it off in person at Latcham Art Centre (located in the Leisure Centre at 2 Park Drive). Registration can also be taken over the phone at 905-640-8954.



Thursday, May 2, 4:00 - 8:00 pm - Opening Reception for Celebrations: The Young at Art. Featuring artwork from 15 elementary schools in Whitchurch-Stouffville and the grade 9-11 students from SDSS. All welcome! Refreshments will be served. Celebrations continues until Saturday, May 11.

Friday, May 3, 6:30 - 9:30 pm - kickstART. A youth event featuring a Live Paint Battle, hands-on art activities, snacks, music, prizes, and more!

Saturday, May 4, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm - Button Making & Create a Bookmark! Free art activities, youth art exhibition, music & snacks. All ages welcome. Free!

Saturday, May 11, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm - Free Art Activity. art activity & snacks. Last chance to see Celebrations: The Young at Art. All ages welcome. Free!
