Memory Bathing

Artist:
Laura Moore
Date:
January 12, 2019 to February 16, 2019

In her new body of work consisting of drawings, wood sculptures, and fabricated metal, Moore explores memory and the passing of information as it exists in the natural world and through human made technology.  In fusing nature with technology, Moore considers the relationship between organic species found in nature such as trees and acorns that hold data and cellular information and the memory storage and data transfer functionality of the USB device, exploring the connections, but also the impact of our ever-increasing reliance and consumption of digital technologies.

Join us for the opening reception on Saturday, January 12 from 1 - 3pm.  Admission is free.  All welcome.
