Her work hung at the school’s Mark W. Potter Gallery in a solo exhibition entitled "Personalities" through November.

In 2005, she decided to focus on her artwork, and began painting while teaching various art programs. As an art instructor, Meghan encourages students to explore and experiment with their own artistic style. She designs projects based on experimentation, collaboration and abstraction that include exercises in drawing, painting, printmaking and more.
In her own work, Meghan paints and draws, referencing nature and using colour as a source of inspiration. Her paintings on wood panels often combine a variety of materials such as watercolour, acrylic paint and various drawing tools. Meghan shows her work in Toronto and the surrounding area.
Shelley Painter is originally from Stouffville, and currently teaches grade two throughout the school year in Moose Factory (Northern Ontario). Shelley, who is returning to teach art camp this summer, brings a youthful energy and enthusiasm to camp.

In her own studio, Vanessa has worked in the traditional black and white silver photographic medium for many years, including hand-tinting processes. She has also experimented with earlier non-silver photographic processes on paper and fabric.
Vanessa has extensive experience teaching art and photography in the school system, for galleries, arts organizations, studios, and privately from kindergarten to adults. She has also been an art exhibition coordinator, juror, and former Director-Curator for the Latcham Gallery.

Christine Stewart is a visual artist and art educator in Aurora.
Christine has several years experience teaching visual art at the Latcham Gallery, York Region District School Board and McMichael Canadian Art Collection. She is passionate about the power of art in teaching children to take risks, play, problem solve, and make discoveries through creative processes. Art is not about being perfect, or “right”, it is about finding meaningful connections, discovery, and having fun as young artists drip, blob, mix, and build their way to becoming more sophisticated thinkers and motivated learners.
Her own artwork is focused on acrylic painting with vibrant colours and textures, and a variety of mixed media such as collage, photo transfer and drawing. She has shown her work in the Greater Toronto Area.
Christine is a certified teacher with Bachelor degrees in Education from OISE/UT and Fine Arts from York University. Her training also includes courses in painting, drawing, and an upcoming encaustic workshop.
Vicky Talwar is an experienced and versatile art instructor who creates fun projects that also convey fundamental art concepts. She currently teaches art in the York Region District School Board.
As an artist, Vicky works in mixed media, painting and textiles. Her artwork explores patterns and textures in Pakistani and Indian textiles whose cultural significance speaks to a diverse audience. Vicky has exhibited her work at many venues in Toronto and in India.
She holds Bachelors’ degrees in Education and Visual Arts from York University and the Ontario College of Art and Design.
Jenny Wing-Yee Tong is a lively and accomplished young artist and art educator, who is looking forward to full days of creative fun with kids in her second year at the Latcham Gallery’s summer art camp.
A graduate of the Ontario College of Art & Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Jenny has continued her practice in drawing and painting, and shows actively by taking part in exhibitions in commercial and artist-run venues. She has also worked as an educator since 1999, and is also a member of the art education team at Varley Art Gallery of Markham.
In her works on paper she experiments with mixed media in creating process-driven drawings and drawing installations. Her current project plays with the iconography of theatre and fables. In 2005 Jenny participated as an invited artist in TRSIC 05, an international multimedia art residency in Serbia. More recently, Jenny created a drawing installation for “Nightless City”, an independent project in the Toronto city-wide Nuit Blanche event.
